ITV Signed As First Media Question Time Sponsor

MediaTel Group has signed ITV Network as the first sponsor of its fourth annual Media Question Time, to be held later this year.

Last year the debate on media issues at the event was led by a panel including Emily Bell, David Mansfield, Marie Oldham, John Billett and Jim Hytner (see Media Panel Denounces ITC’s Handling Of The News At Ten Affair). BBC media correspondent Torin Douglas chaired the evening, which included an interview with the then Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Chris Smith (see Chris Smith Defends White Paper In Media Question Time Interview).

Jim Hytner, now marketing and commercial director for ITV, said: “Dialogue and debate are crucial to the ongoing wellbeing of the industry, so I’m delighted that ITV will be supporting Question Time this year and I’m looking forward to a lively exchange of views!”

This year’s Media Question Time will take place in October. Details of this year’s panel will be announced soon.
