ITV has unveiled its new-look ‘News at Ten’ design, complete with a 3D virtual studio set.

The new 3D model will be used in the opening credits, which will take viewers along a computer-generated path showing the day’s top news stories.

The 3D environment aims to give viewers better picture quality and engage more with the audience, according to the broadcaster.

In addition, large virtual screens will be used to show images as stories are read by the newsreader.

ITV has revamped its entire news portfolio in a bid to bring the programmes closer to ITV1’s on-air look and feel.

ITN and ITV worked with creative agency Bruce Dunlop and Associates to create the redesign.
