Joan Lofts has been appointed as the director of broadcasting at ITV2. She replaces Julia Lamaison who recently became ITV’s director of planning and strategy.
Lofts has been acting as consultant to ITV on the development of a new children’s channel as well as consulting for a number of media clients including Flextech and BSkyB. Director of programmes at ITV2, Brian Barwick, commented: “I am delighted to welcome Joan to the team…her enthusiasm for the task ahead and critically her experience of the multichannel environment made her a compelling candidate in a strong field.”
