Less than 18 months since joining, Yahoo’s UK managing director and commercial director, Jason Talley, has left the company, Newsline can exclusively reveal.
On Monday (13 July) a Yahoo spokesperson told Newsline: “We can confirm that Jason Talley has left Yahoo to pursue new endeavours.
“We thank him for his contribution in the past 15 months and wish him well for the future.”
Talley joined Yahoo in April 2014 following a three-year stint at Base79 where he was chief commercial officer, as Yahoo looked to drive new partnerships and strengthen the multi-platform offering of its advertising arm.
Prior to that Talley had also held various roles within Channel 5 over a 15-year period.
Commenting on his departure, Talley said: “I am leaving to pursue new opportunities. I am proud to leave Yahoo in good shape with an exciting future ahead as it drives its mobile, video, native and social strategy.”
Yahoo’s vice president and general manager of advertising EMEA, Nick Hugh, and selected members of the UK management team will assume the leadership of the UK business until a replacement is appointed.
