JCDecaux Airport Awarded Rail Contracts

JCDecaux Airport has been awarded the advertising contracts for the Gatwick Express and the Stansted Express rail services.
The year-long contract covers all internal and external advertising on board all the South East rail-air links managed by Airport Express, including ambient opportunities such as train wraps and headrest advertising.
Previously Maiden held the contract for Gatwick Express trains, but JCDecaux Airport is the first to sell advertising on the Stansted Express service.
Commenting on the deal, JCDecaux Airport’s marketing manager, Richard Malton, said: “This is a significant addition to our portfolio and a pleasing development in our relationship with Airport Express. This contract provides another channel for advertisers to target the 100 million passengers who travel through BAA’s three London airports and further strengthens the opportunity to create advertising touch points throughout a journey.”
JCDecaux Airport recently secured Bacardi as the first brand to use its new Holographic Media advertising system in Heathrow airport. The system, which projects moving images onto transparent glass surfaces, will be used by Bacardi to target travellers in the departure lounge of Heathrow’s Terminal 3 (see JCDecaux Airport Gets Holographic With Bacardi).
