John Mellon, chief executive of Reed Publishing Europe and Chairman of IPC Magazines and Reed Business Publishing has been awarded the 1994 PPA Marcus Morris Award at the PPA AGM this afternoon.
The award is the highest award for the magazine publishing industry in the UK. It honours an individual who has made or is making an outstanding award to the UK magazine publishing business. John Mellon was commended for his vision, flair and determination to succeed; Mellon spearheaded the campaign to acquire TV Times and launched What’s On TV. He has also been crucial to the expansion of Reed Business Publishing.
