Johnston was given the go ahead by the Department of Trade and Industry last week, to buy three local newspapers in Yorkshire. The publisher completed the sale this Wednesday.
The addition of The Bridlington Gazette and Herald, The Driffield Post and The Pocklington Post to the publisher’s portfolio is intended to enhance Johnston’s coverage in Yorkshire.
