Kantar Joins With Millward Brown

Research information and software group, Kantar Media Research (KMR), is to reorganise its corporate structure and join forces with market research organisation Millward Brown Group (MBG), as part of a move to accelerate global expansion, having appointed Andy Brown, previously KMR director with responsibility for target group index and software, as its new CEO.

The restructure will see KMR operate as an independent division of MBG under the leadership of Brown, who will report to Bob Meyers, a director of Kantar and CEO of MBG.

Chief executive of Kantar Group said: “Andy will steer KMR through the rapid structural and technological changes taking place in the media industry. The alignment with Millward Brown should benefit our clients by linking KMR’s products and services to the Millward Brown global infrastructure.”

Meyers added: “This restructuring is designed to meet clients needs, where research agencies need to be able to offer global reach along side local expertise.”

The move comes following former CEO Richard Silman’s move to Ipsos RSL as the new CEO of Ipsos UK.

In his new role Silman will be responsible for services across the board including insight, access panel, logistics and marketing and will report to company chairman and chief executive, Dawn Mitchell.

According to KMR, the group’s key operating partner, BMRB, will remain largely unaffected by the developments.
