Karaoke Show Tops C5 Primetime Schedule
Channel 5’s Saturday night primetime slot will be filled with “Saturday Night Fever”, a celebrity karaoke gameshow, which will then be followed by a movie premiere and an uncut adult movie. The draft schedule, leaked to Broadcast, also includes US repeats such as The Incredible Hulk and Knightrider, with a movie at 9pm and a 7.30pm wildlife programme on weekdays.
Weekday daytime slots are filled with talkshows, a consumer programme, gameshows, a matinee film and an American soap opera. As well as the wildlife and movie slots in primetime there will also be news at 8pm, leisure/lifestyle programming and a late-night comedy show. Saturdays follow the predictable schedule of kids shows in the morning, a matinee in the afternoon and acquired American series from 6pm till 8pm. Sundays contain more light entertainment shows, with a “gossip” slot at 11.30 followed by news and sport and then a two-hour plus magazine programme for teenagers and young adults. There will also be a music show at 5.15pm and new drama at 8pm.
