Keenan Heads New Emap Division
Emap has announced that Paul Keenan, chief executive of Emap Digital, is to head up a new umbrella group called Emap Consumer Media.
The new division will house all of Emap’s consumer titles including Emap Elan, Emap Automotive, Emap Active and FHM international, while Emap’s music titles will remain independent as part of the Performance Network.
A spokesperson for the company said; “[Chief executive] Robin Miller set out to overhaul the company’s senior management structure in the last annual report, the creation of the new division and the new executive board will ensure that all of Emap’s consumer magazines are under one roof and can stand up to increasing competition.”
As chief executive of the new division Keenan will sit on a new executive board consisting of Emap communications chief executive Derek Carter, Emap Performance chief executive Tim Schoonmaker and Emap France’s chief executive Arnuad de Puyefontaine. Chief operating officer Tom Moloney and finance officer Gary Hughes will also sit on the board.
Keenan, who will be responsible for strenghtening the magazine side of the business, will be replaced in his role at Emap Digital by Dharmash Mistry.
