Kent Messenger Extends Radio Interest

The Kent Messenger Group has expanded its radio interests with the purchase of Dover and Folkestone radio station Neptune fm. The group, which also includes 14 paid for and 16 free local newspapers, already owns TLR 107.2 in Thanet and CTFM in Canterbury, which means it now has substantial coverage in the West Kent area.

As a result of the purchase, the radio and newspaper advertising sales operations are to be merged. No jobs are to be lost in the move, but teams will be trained in selling print and radio ad packages, instead of selling one medium against the other, as usually occurs.
