The bookmaker Ladbroke Racing is planning to launch an online TV betting service. The venture will be done through Two Way TV, the interactive television service Ladbroke recently purchased a 20% stake in, and could possibly involve bets being placed over the Internet.
The move comes as betting shops and pools companies look for ways to combat the effect the National Lottery has on their takings.
