Laser CIA Dispute Ends In Negotiation

Following the air time trading dispute between CIA Group and Laser CIA And Laser Reach Final Agreement CIA has merged its TV planning and buying divisions, IDK Media and CIA Medianetwork. This new joint innitiative is called The Negotiation Centre and will be up and running in the next few weeks.

Former IDK Media managing director, Tony Kenyon will be chief executive of The Negotiation Centre. It will have billings of £300 million and will also negotiate for CIA’s joint venture companies, 20/20 Media, Media Solutions and Morgan CIA. It is hoped that the merger will put an end to disputes like the one with Laser, where the agency was committed to giving Laser a proportion of its spend in return for discounts.
