Laser and 95.8 Capital FM have announced a strategic alliance to create a new programme called Live From The Capital Cafe.
The show will be transmitted on LWT at 11pm on Friday nights early in the summer, featuring live music, comedy, celebrity interviews and the latest trends to hit London. Martina King, Capital Radio’s station director and Gary Knight, Laser’s executive commercial director, will be jointly responsible for selling the commercial package to potential advertisers. Laser believe that the programme offers a “dynamic sponsorship package with enormous opportunities for cross-promotion.”
Knight also believes that it will offer the advertiser “a golden opportunity to reach 16-34 adults within their ‘own environment’ and we have put together an innovative package of commercial opportunities to meet this goal.”
The 4 90 minute programmes will be broadcast live in front of an audience in the Capital Radio Café in Leicester Square.
The ITC has said that it would not have a problem with the show since it was being based on the Capital Radio Café, rather than Capital Radio or any of its formats.
