June’s national newspaper ABCs show that the Independent’s revamp at the beginning of June was a successful move, with its Jnecirculation at 303,273,breaking the 300,000 mark for the fit time since Novemer 1993. This was an increase of 9.3% on last June’s figure, second only in terms of year on yearincrase to theTimes, which was up by 30.2% year on ear o 682,9.
Te pictue was similar for the 6-monthly ABCs for January to Jne; the Times recorded an increase year on year of 33.4%. The Express titles have coninued their fall in circulations; the Sunday Express has lost 8.7% in its montl figure year on year; the Daily Express ost 6.7% year on year.
