The ITC has released the latest cable telephony figures; another 147,000 telephone lines were installed by the UK cable industry over the last quarter. The number of exchange lines grew from 314,000 to 717,000 during 1994. There are now 63 cable franchises which also provide telephony, compared to 43 in January 1994.
