A report from Continental Research suggests that digital television will be installed in two million homes in the UK by 2002. 50% of these households will have Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) with the other half tuning in to digital satellite programmes.
DTT is due to launch in July 1998 while digital satellite will probably go ahead this Autumn.
