Latest On Race For C4 Job

It has emerged that Alan Yentob, the BBC’s director of programmes, has decided not to put himself forward for the job of C4’s chief executive. The decision was apparently made after a meeting between Mr Yentob and Sir Michael Bishop, C4’s chairman.

The C4 board will meet next Monday to discuss who will replace Michael Grade and the front runners are now believed to be John Willis, C4’s director of programmes, and Greg Dyke, head of Pearson Television.
