LBC To Return

The radio station LBC will replace London Newstalk 1152. London Radio announced today that the official relaunch will be on Monday 1st July on the 1152 AM frequency.
Top favourites such as Pete Murray, Robbie Vincent, Clive Bull and Therese Birch will return to the programme schedule together with new signings Benny Green, Caroline Righton, Clare Catford and Donna Dawson. LBC’s presenters, which include Steve Allen, Fred Housego and David Banks, will be joined by top guests from the fields of politics, show-business,media, current affairs and London life, to be presented in a “topical radio” format.
Newly appointed programme controller of LBC commented: “A return to the name LBC heralds a demand from listeners to rekindle the quality broad editorial content of the station of three years ago whilst bringing it bang up-to-date through a revised presenter and editorial line-up. Listeners play a key part in determining the editorial content of LBC 1152; their views and opinions are constantly sought by the station”.
LBC will broadcast from its Hammersmith studios and is backed by a consortium consisting of GWR, Daily Mail General Trust, Reuters and ITN.
