Leeds Agencies Merge To Create New Force On Northern Agency Scene
Two Leeds-based advertising agencies, Charles Walls Group (CWG) and Seven Group, have merged operations in a deal with media investors, 10 Group. 10 Group funded a management buy-out at marketing agency CWG earlier in the year (see Charles Walls MBO Funded By 10 Group) and has now acquired design and advertising agency, Seven, to precipitate the merger.
Birmingham-based 10 Group has acquired Seven from its managing partners for an undisclosed sum. Commenting on the deal, Graeme Peacock, co-founder of Seven says: “Seven and CWG are already well-respected agencies with strong client bases but our new partnership creates a major new force in UK marketing right in the heart of Yorkshire.”
CWG chief executive David McIntosh added: “Seven Group are a top creative agency. Together we can offer far more extensive creative, planning and media resources to all our existing clients while strengthening our overall offer to new clients as a truly major player in marketing consultancy.”
The deal is part of plans by 10 Group to create a network of strong independent agencies across the country.
