Leeds United Score A TV Channel

Leeds United FC could become the first football station with its own TV station. Fans may soon be able to watch non-stop coverage of the team on cable TV. However, the channel will not be able to screen live premiership matches as BSkyB own the rights to these.

Caspian, who own Leeds United, has stressed that the deal is still in its very early stages. If all goes well the channel could be available from August 9 and will feature interviews, reruns of games and reserve and youth matches.

If the channel prove a success, cable channels dedicated to football teams could spring-up across Britain. It could even lead to teams trying to exclude themselves from the BSkyB deal.
