Licence Renewed For Jazz FM

The Radio Authority has announced that it will be renewing Jazz FM’s regional ILR for North-West England.

Jazz FM will now be able to broadcast until 31 August 2009 and under the conditions of the new licence will be committed to providing digital services on the North-West regional multiplex.

Chairman of Jazz FM, Sir Harry Roche, said: “The company is taking full advantage of potential opportunities. Against the current background of excellent audience growth and increasing airtime revenues we are confident that we will continue to make good progress.”

In light of the growth enjoyed in recent RAJAR reports, the station may well be expecting encouraging news when the latest set of figures is released today.
