Live TV Gets A Slice Of The Soccer Action

Live TV Gets A Slice Of The Soccer Action

Cable channel Live TV is covering this weekends Umbro Challenge, one of the more attractive of the pre-season football tournaments, featuring Manchester United, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Ajax of Amsterdam. Coverage runs from 12.30 – 5.30pm and 7.00pm – Midnight on both Saturday and Sunday.

Live TV’s only previous excursions into sports coverage include serious international Rugby League, and less than serious (but better publicised) topless darts.

The football coverage comes at a time when one of the straplines for the Cable Communications Association’s Dawn French campaign suggests that for those who are fed up with football coverage, cable is the medium!
