Live TV today announced that it has taken back the national sales for the channel as part of the launch of the Cable Advertising Sales Company later this month.
The cable-only channel’s national airtime was previously sold by Laser Satellite and Cable but Live now believes it sells enough airtime to go it alone. CASC will be run by Jon Waters, ex-sales controller at Classic FM, who says: “Clearly cable has achieved rapid growth which is set to continue and we believe the time is now right for us to set up our own operations selling to national agencies and clients.”
The new company will represent over 2 million homes for Live TV and over 800,000 cabled homes for selling the local available airtime for Telewest, Comcast and Cable & Wireless Communications in the North West.
