Live TV attracted almost 50% of its available audience within its first three days of transmission, according to a telephone poll of 250 cable subscribers. 81% of people interviewed were aware of Live TV at its launch last week. 55% of the sample disagreed with suggestions that the channel, owned by Mirror Group, was aimed solely at the youth market.

The telephone poll was conducted by Continental Research among a random sample of 250 cable subscribers in franchises that provided Live TV as a service.
