Live TV To Go Celibate?

Live TV , the Mirror Group cable channel, is cutting back on its sex content in an attempt to move more upmarket, said a spokesperson for the channel today. Perhaps best known for The Sex Show and Topless Darts, the channel is undergoing a facelift and plans to reveal its new look on 7 September.

The Sex Show is to be dropped, and there’s to be an increase in sports programming. Live TV will be abandoning all sex-line advertisements as well, in an attempt to raise the tone of the channel content.

However, Topless Darts is to remain on the schedule and some new ‘late night’ programmes are to be introduced which are apparently of a sexual nature, suggesting that rather than cutting down on the sexual content of its programming, the channel is reorganising the style and format of such items.
