Loaded Finds A New Publisher
IPC Magazines has announced the appointment of a new publisher in the form of Adrian Pettett for its magazine Loaded and its website, UpLoaded.
Pettett worked at IPC as marketing manager for NME, Melody Maker, Muzik and Loaded in 1996, and since January this year has been responsible for managing all of the commercial and sponsorship partnerships for the Spice Girls tour.
Robert Tame, Loaded publishing director, commented on Pettett joining the team: ” I am delighted Adrian is rejoining us at a very exciting time for IPC. Loaded has just recorded another very strong ABC performance, [see Newsline] up 20% year on year, and has just launched its first spin off title, Loaded Fashion [see Newsline].”
The new post is effective from 12 October, and Adrian Pettett said: “I am very excited to be returning to IPC to what I consider to be the most exciting job in publishing. Loaded has established itself as one of the icon brands of the Nineties, and rarely has a brand entered a market and influenced it so dramatically. Developing the brand and building on Loaded’s success as we move towards a new decade, is a fantastic opportunity, and one that I can’t wait to start.”
