Loaded Cover Two iconic men’s magazines will join forces this month in a six-figure cover sales promotion, as IPC’s Loaded joins the biggest name in adult entertainment, Playboy, in launching the brand’s latest online offering.

The move will see the October issue of Loaded flagged as The Playboy UK Issue, with an array of editorial and promotional activity incorporated into the parnership, designed to promote the launch of playboy.co.uk.

Among the promotions packaged with the special issue is an exclusive hour-long Girls of Playboy UK DVD, starring some of the magazine’s most glamorous stars. An exclusive cover shoot of Playboy UK’s newest signing, Sophie Anderton, also promises to boost the title’s stand-out, as will eight pages of editorial devoted to the model.

The one-off special edition will also feature a special six-page Loaded Playmates special, as well as a Loaded Legend tribute to Hugh Hefner, including an exclusive interview conducted at the infamous Playboy Mansion.

The promotion was brokered by Loaded‘s publishing director, Niall McKinney, and Playboy UK director of marketing and sales, Richard Gale.

Commenting on the tie-up, McKinney said: “In the world of men’s entertainment, you don’t get much bigger than Playboy and Loaded. We are delighted to bringing the Playboy experience to our readers for this special issue. We think it will be one of our best selling ever.”

Gale added: “This is a perfect partnership in so many respects. The consumer is getting a mixture of two of the strongest brands in the field, and we have created a truly innovative style of media partnership. Every male in the country is going to want to get hold of this issue.”
