London Interconnect, the consortium of London based cable operators previously known as LACOS is expected to announce today who has been awarded the contract to supply the new cable television station for London.
Associated Newspapers is widely expected to have beaten competition from Mirror Group Newspapers and a joint bid from Carlton and LWT. Associated Newspapers’ contract is believed to include a news and information service, as well as entertainment. One reason for choosing Associated would be the possibilities of cross-promotion.
