Rumours are still abounding that GWR and ITN are in talks with Reuters about the possible purchase of London News Radio; the management-led buyout team collapsed recently. Reuters refuse to comment on the rumours. ITN is believed to be interested in protecting its Independent Radio News franchise, and GWR is interested in radio expansion generally.
… West Yorkshire radio station 96.3 Aire FM is undergoing refurbishment at its premises in Leeds in an attempt to remove the resident ghost, a statement says. Since the station launched 14 years ago, Studio 1 has suffered “strange experiences”. Engineers hope the complete refit will exorcise the ghostly goings on.
