It was the season two finale of Lost, on Channel 4 last night, and the series ended with a double bill that saw the show attract a peak audience of 2.9 million adults (a 15% audience share).
That figure was for the first episode, which averaged 2.7 million adults (a 16% audience share), whilst the second instalment of the night drew a peak audience of 2.6 million adults (a 30% audience share) to its 11pm timeslot.
The big match on ITV1, Benfica v Manchester United, attracted a peak audience of 5.1 million adults (a 24% audience share) willing on the reds to a 1-0 victory.
The Champions League game brought in an average audience of 4.3 million adults (a 21% audience share).
Emmerdale also performed well for ITV1, with a peak audience figure of 6.7 million adults (a 40% audience share) and an average figure of 6.4 million adults.
However, the biggest audience on the night went to Eastenders at 7.30pm, which brought in a peak audience of 8 million adults (a 42% audience share) and an average of 7.8 million adults across its half hour running time.
Holby City, which followed on from Eastenders at 8pm, brought in a peak of 6.3 million adults (a 30% share).
