Love Is On The Air At TalkSPORT

National sports radio station talkSPORT has announced plans to auction-off five 30-second spots on Valentine’s Day for listeners to broadcast their love messages.
The auction, which begins this week on ebay, will see the highest bidders get their own romantic messages turned into high-quality on-air commercials, made by the creative team at talkSPORT’s South Bank studios in London.
Commenting on the initiative, programme director Mike Parry, said: “It would be the perfect way to propose to your loved one – much less painful than going down on bended knee.”
TalkSPORT, which is the UK’s only national commercial sports radio station, will be eagerly awaiting the release of the latest Q4 RAJAR audience data later this week.
RAJAR data for the three-month period ending in September 2002 reveals a positive period for the station, which saw its weekly reach increase by 7.6% year on year to 2,392,000, up from 2,224,000 in the same period the previous year.
