LOVEFiLM now on LG smart TVs

LOVEFiLM has announced a streaming deal with LG where the service will be available on the manufacturers smart TV devices.

The rental service will launch an app on LG’s smart TV platform, allowing consumers to order TV series and films via their remote control.

LG’s smart TV platform already has more than 250 apps, including BBC iPlayer.

“With this latest platform launch we are strengthening our penetration into the living rooms of UK customers, bringing instant entertainment to more homes than ever before,” Simon Calver, CEO of Amazon’s LOVEFiLM, said.
