Lowe To Relaunch Digital Arm
The difficulty of surviving in the new media environment was highlighted this week by the announcement that Lowe Howard-Spink has closed its Lowe Digital department. It is expected that the unit will be relaunched as a strategic consultancy in the next few months.
The closure was blamed on the difficulty of making money from the competetive world of web design. It was one of the first in-house new media operations to be launched by an ad agency when it surfaced in 1994.
