LWT Defence Document

LWT Defence Document

LWT has released its final defence document in which it predicts pre-tax profits of £43.8m, an increase of 43% on 1992, much higher than analysts had expected. This was attributed to a 3.8% increase in advertising revenue and lower costs. These figures do not include however the costs of defending the offer from Granada.

The document, which was sent to all shareholders, sets out more reasons why the Granada offer should be rejected; LWT has performed well, better than Granada and it is big enough to survive on its own.
