According to Raymond Snoddy in today’s Financial Times, LWT is in talks with a North American group which is proposing to take a stake of slightly less than 30% in LWT. It is believed that the American group would hold the stock for a short time, to allow LWT to line up an international media investor.
Time is short for LWT as Granada’s present offer ends on January 26; the terms are expected to be improved before the final closing date on February 4.
