Mackenzie To Leave Sun
Kelvin Mackenzie, editor of the Sun, is leaving the paper to become managing director of BSkyB. The announcement was made by News International, who own the Sun and have a 50% stake in BSkyB.
Mackenzie joined the Sun in 1981, making him one of the longest-serving national newspaper editors. He will take up his post in just over a week. Deputy editor, Stuart Higgins will replace him.
Sources at Y&R believe that a merger deal between GGT and Y&R has a 50% probability of happening…
