Magazine Closures

Haymarket Magazines’ Car Choice is to be incorporated into What Car? from July. The move comes as part of other changes at Haymarket; Audiophile, which covers upmarket hi-fi systems, is to be incorporated into the more general titles What Hi-Fi? Your Classic, the DIY title is to be sold off to allow more concentration on Classic and Sportscar.

Money Week, the financial title from Emap Media has closed. Money week launched seven years ago. Its most recent ABC, Jan-Jun 1993, was 26,087.

Transworld Sport, the spin-off magazine from the programme shown on Channel 4, has closed after one issue. The closure was due to lack of ad revenue and low sales; the title sold just 10,000 out of the 70,000 copies printed. Publisher Don Cummings attributed this to the market not being big enough to sustain such a general interest title.
