Magazine Launches For Future

Future Publishing is planning a raft of new magazine launches in the coming weeks starting with the dirt bike magazine, MXUK, on 14 April. This will be followed by a number of launches from the publisher’s large stable of computing titles: Internet Advisor, Windows Answers and Computer Publishing are all expected to launch in April/May.

MXUK will be edited by Sean Hawker, who was behind the launch of Future’s Total Bike magazine a couple of years ago. The title is looking for a circulation of 20,000-25,000 per month and has a cover price of £2.75. Of the magazine, Future says: “Our mission is to promote dirt biking by featuring the world’s top riders as well as Britain’s most talented stars. Stunning pictures and sharp words will drive the magazine towards an all action format for the new generation of cool young thrill seekers.”

Internet Advisor is aiming to help first time users on to the internet: “Unlike the current crop of magazines, we won’t be assuming any familiarity with technology amongst our readers,” says editor Cliff Douse. “Internet Advisor will offer information and advice in plain English.”
