The planned women’s magazine from Dennis Publishing (see Dennis To Promote ‘Project Denise’ With £1.5m Campaign) will hit the newsstands on 24 Febuary. PS is a bi-monthly title targeting 30-something women and concentrating on the home shopping market.
EMAP is to relaunch Select magazine in March. Its circulation was down in the latest ABC audit (see Latest ABCs Show Few Highlights For Music Sector) and the group has decided to give the title a new design and a new agenda to embrace changes in the alternative music market.
The Henley Centre and IPC’s women’s weeklies division are to work jointly on a research project into the lives of women in the UK. Women’s Lives will undertake quarterly surveys into the changing lives and attitudes of women and their consumption habits.
IPC is to launch a spin-off of its Chat magazine. Chat’s Lottery Special will be a 60-page extension.
EMAP has this week launched its men’s lifestyle, FHM, magazine in the US. The British edition of the title had seen a year on year drop in sales in the latest ABC audit (see Lads’ Mags Suffer As Bubble Begins To Burst).
