Maid, the online information provider, has announced that it will be taking over its formal rival Knight-Ridder Information.
The deal, worth £261m, will see Maid become the world’s largest online information company as it changes its name to the Dialog Corporation when it begins trading next month. Dan Wagner, founder of Maid, will become chief executive of the new operation.
