MAID Turns Profit Into Loss

On-line information provider MAID has revealed pre-tax losses of £1.4 million for Quarter 1. This compares with a profit of £211,000 for the same period last year.

Turnover was up 59% however to £4.5 million and new subscriber wins soared by 225% on Q1 1995. The Board believes that the results reflect the global expansion of the business in Europe, Asia and the US.
