Maiden Checks In At John Lennon Airport

Maiden has won the contract to market three Trivision 48 sheet sites at the new John Lennon Airport in Liverpool. Two of the sites are positioned in the check-in hall and one in the arrival hall of the airport, which last year handled 2.25 million passengers.

Renault and BT are among the advertisers already signed up to use the sites, whose rolling faces are in operation 24 hours a day. Maiden quotes recent research that shows the average dwell time at an airport is 158 minutes, including 19 minutes spent at check-in.

The capacity of John Lennon airport, named last year after one of the city’s most famous sons, is expected to grow to more than 3 million passengers per year in 2003, rising to 4.6 million by 2006.
