Outdoor advertising company, Maiden, is venturing into the international market with the acquisition of three Irish companies.
The group has acquired the Canberra Company, Network Poster Advertising and Outdoor Works and will open for business with an estate of 160 48-sheet posters and 60 six-sheet posters. Coverage will extend to all major cities in Ireland and will focus on the greater Dublin area.
The new venture will be headed by Colm O’Cuilleanain who will fill the role of managing director. O’Cuilleanain is a former managing director of Avenir Group and was chief executive of the David Allen poster company in Dublin.
Maiden group chief executive, Ron Zeghibe, said: “From a standing start, Maiden becomes the fourth largest outdoor advertising company in Ireland. Although we will be some way behind our competitors initially, Ireland is an advertising market that we believe has great potential for Maiden to exploit. We are especially delighted to have recruited Colm O’Cuilleanain, who brings a wealth of experience to the task of building a substantial business in an exciting and dynamic market.”
