Maiden Group Buys CP Posters Advertising

Maiden Group has announced the acquisition of poster contractor CP Posters Advertising for £7.7m. The group focuses on large format posters and has estates in the valuable London and Meridian TV areas.

Maiden has marketed some of the group’s sites since 1996 and this acquisition will vastly increase its 48- and 96-sheet estates. CP Posters owns 444 48-sheet panels and 42 96-sheet panels and markets another 68 panels on behalf of other contractors.

Chief executive of Maiden, Ron Zeghibe, said of the deal: “As with previous acquisitions, we’re delighted that the vendors are taking part of their consideration in Maiden stock – something we believe will be a valuable asset in an increasingly consolidating market.”

Also…JCDecaux, one of the largest outdoor advertising companies in the world, has formed two new companies to provide one-stop shops for either sales or marketing issues. Based in the group’s London advertising office, they will significantly simplify the ability of clients to plan and buy outdoor advertising across JCDecaux outdoor products in 33 countries throughout the world.

Xavier Dupré, MD of the new sales company, JCDecaux One Stop Shop, said: “Our wide European coverage, together with the high quality of our outdoor networks, puts JCDecaux streets ahead of our competitors for centralised campaigns and pan-European partnerships.”
