Maiden Secures Bullring Contract In Birmingham

Maiden Outdoor has secured the contract to market 6-sheet posters across Birmingham’s Bullring shopping and leisure site.
The re-vamped Bullring promises to bring ‘shopping heaven’ to Birmingham, with 26 football pitches worth of shops, boutiques and restaurants. Maiden will dominate the 6-sheet advertising in the centre, which was planned in from an early stage.
There will be 83 panel positions throughout the centre, which is part of the largest inner city regeneration scheme in Europe. The bespoke units have been specifically designed to fit in with the appearance of the centre.
Scrolling units have also been built and placed in key locations in the heart of the retail activity at the head of escalators facing mall traffic.
The win brings Maiden’s portfolio of malls to 98, seven of which are in the UK’s top ten most popular shopping destinations.
The latest figures from the OAA show that outdoor advertising continued to perform strongly in the three months to June, with revenue increasing by 6.3% year on year to more than £184 million. (see Outdoor Industry Sees Ad Revenue Rise In Second Quarter).
