United News & Media has announced the appointment of Malcolm Wall as COO and executive director, three weeks after he quit his former position as chief executive of United Broadcasting and Entertainment (see Granada Media Announces Creation Of ‘Dynamic New Production Group’). He will rejoin the company from 1 January with responsibility for the business media companies that now form the core of the ‘new’ United.
Clive Hollick, said today, “I am delighted that we have attracted Malcolm Wall back to United in this new role. I am confident that his proven business and people skills, combined with his energy, commitment and vision will be of great value to the group over the coming years.”
