Man Utd Victory Lures Viewers To ITV1

Wayne Rooney Manchester United’s Champions League win over FC Copenhagen last night was watched by an average of 4.7 million adult viewers on ITV1, peaking at 5.7 million.

The match took a 22.6% audience share for the broadcaster, whilst on BBC One, Eastenders proved popular with an average of 8.5 million adult viewers tuning in, a 43% viewing share.

Following on from the soap, Holby City also performed well for BBC One, gaining an average adult audience of 6.4 million, equating to a 31% share. New series The Amazing Mrs Pritchard, starring Jane Horrocks, gained 3.8 million adult viewers on average and took an 18% audience share.

The New Paul O’Grady Show was Channel 4’s most watched show last night, managing to lure around 2.3 million adults in the 5pm to 6pm slot (20%), whilst Supernanny at 9pm managed 2.2 million, a 10% share.

Five’s CSI double bill, Miami and NY, brought in 2.8 million and 2.5 million adult viewers respectively, a 13.5% and 15.7% share each.
