Yesterday the Manchester Evening News launched the first edition of its weekly supplement.
The 56 page A4 supplement is printed on full colour paper. The editorial contains colourful features on local Mancunian stars such as footballer Ryan Giggs, pop group Take That, the latest dance craze in Manchester’s clubs, the bogle and also general features such as regular recipes from Keith Floyd. There is a travel section and agony column.
25% is given over to advertising, with full page ads from the Manchester Opera House, Next and Marks and Spencer. Five of the ad pages are classified.
