Average weekly cinema admissions showed an increase of 7.28% in March to reach 2.69 million, according to the Cinema Advertising Association. This is the first month of 1997 to show a rise in admissions, with January seeing a fall of 5.6% year on year and February falling by 18.6%. Total admissions in March reached 11.933 million.
